Venezuelan Christmas

For Venezuela, Christmas means a family union, sharing moments with loved ones, and reuniting with those you did not see during the year because of work and time. Christmas is a time of reflection and gratitude for everything you did during a year, and to set new goals for the next one.

One of the many Christmas traditions is adorning our homes with beautiful objects and Christmas lights, putting the tree and the birth of the child god, all this is done as a family, each one collaborating with their creativity.

The Christmas dinner is a large table with full food, hallas, ham bread, ham, salad, black cake, sweets, wine and the usual refreshment. We all sit at the table for dinner and enjoy a delicious meal. The table is decorated with candles and Christmas tablecloths.

On December 24 it is customary to make an exchange of gifts between family, in this way each one takes a small detail and enjoys the delivery of gifts. Between dances, laughter, jokes, stories, they spend the best Christmas with a great warm family love.
