Anthony Bourdain, Kate Spade..... Icons who battle in silence (MONEY and FAME do not bring Happiness)
Perhaps it is just me but the last few years in particular have had just a heavy and rather somber and downright scary vibe.
Perhaps it is just me who sees so many soldier on as best they can with untold stories and burdens we do not know.
Sometimes we worship these idols and perhaps that takes a toll on what we envision as Archetypes of success.
Fame does not fulfill most anyone....
After a certain degree of monetary security is met....MONEY does not fulfill most anyone
After a certain level of power, there is the insatiable need to defend your position or rank
IS THAT PLEASANT?

This is one of the few topics I'm not cracking jokes about. We deify these people, treat them like they're better than we are - superhuman - but they are just as likely to experience mental health problems as any of us.
Robin Williams hit me pretty hard.
Anyone who dismisses anxiety and depression as something we should just shake off or get over ... I hope they get cancer. So I can tell them to just shake it off or get over it.
I don't wish cancer or aids or anything like that on people, in fact some might cope or triumph/battle that over some with chronic PTSD or depression or the myriad of other sufferings us humans get to endure.
There is something very, very wrong with imho the "American Rat Race" of traveling all the time, sitting in traffic to go sit somewhere for upwards of 80 hours a week plus for most just to scrape by in hopes of being able to sit in a McMansion all weekend.
Then sometimes I look at some people on here/discord who are ALWAYS on, always...... we know the power of the off button but I wonder if at times this isn't just as depressing as sitting in a cubicle....just my personal philosophy as I do a few things on here , pop on and off and then go plant flowers. R.I.P. Anthony...Kate...Robin...the list is miles long........
Suicide comes is many forms and for many reasons ! some know the world too much and then want to talk about it, some listen and dont know what to say and to whom about it all ! But sure Dead men and women tell no tales to anyone for sure, once the "deed "is done ! Suicide is a good solution to many problems ! But tell me how do two people that didnt know each other both die from hanging from a door knob with a scalf aind within days of each other ?? ! How short must you be to die from hanging from a door knob in a hotel room ?? Maybe door knobs in Hotle room in hotlels should be lower follwing this, to make sure peoples feet do actually touch the ¡ground if they try this ! Suicide can be most convenient to silemce any dissanting and wagging tongues !!

His books were/are some of my favorites... I was unaware he was recently divorced but in a society where that's about half of how everything winds up I wonder what role that played, very sad...he had a lot of personal demons he was open about
That gif is so true! If the rich and famous no longer find fulfillment in what they're doing, then it's time to go back to living a simpler life, but it's easier said than done!
I do believe they're not living a balanced life and run the risk of major depression, just so very sad!
keeping things simple is a personal goal, it cuts down on a LOT of unwanted suffering , just my opinion though
That's my mother's motto and she's still filled with expectancy for the tomorrows, will be 87 in September!
Sounds like a wonderful and stong woman......am half convinced things are made deliberately anxiety inducing for some evil agenda, and wouldn't be surprised it that's the case
