Euthanasia, is there mercy in it?

My compliments to @yanzel4lyf and sir @iwrite for introducing me to the world of steeming. And now I can't stop on moving.

If given a choice, we all want to reach old age and die painlessly in our sleep. !Unfortunately, this is not the kind of life that most people experiences. People mostly will die a strong struggle with painful diseases. Others are physically incapable thus wishing themselves to be rather dead.

Euthanasia otherwise known as the physician assisted or angel of death complex is the deliberate advancement of the person's death for the benefit of the person who might be suffering terminally. However, this is a a widely disputed argument that circle on moral and ethical norms specially for us Filipinos that such act as this, is deemed a taboo.

Now is it immoral for that person to put an end to his agony? Or is it morally upright to prolong his agony alongside his family who are struggling emotionally and financially? Whatever the moral implications that this act give, the Church is greatly opposing such idea. No human being has the right to curtail other peoples' life.

Life is a God-given gift that cannot be taken from us by anybody. Let us enjoy every single moment while we have it yet let us be governed by the necessary norms and principles for a healthy and friendly living. As for my nine decades and three-year old grandfather, he is counting seven more fruitful years ahead to be a
centenarian.

Ola lolo! More candles to blow and cakes to slice for you. We pray for your good health. Who knows that you might still be able to stand on top of the Paradise Falls in Venezuela, South America on your 100th birthday. Do take us with you in this adventure. Life is what we make it afterall. Let us choose happiness and let us have no qualms to spread it. To God be the glory!
