Way of life of the people,CULTURE!

Well,as we all know, Culture is the way of life of the people. It is usually influenced by the arts or custom,lifestyle and general background of a particular society. It might also be seen as cumulative deposit of knowledge,experiences,beliefs,values and attitudes of a society. Generally acceptable cultural practices are transmitted from one generation to another. Geographers interest in culture focuses majorly on the spatial expressions of culture. Culture is non static in nature which means that culture can change anytime. There have been cultural changes since mid 1800 and 1900 due to advancements in science and technology which have been notable in almost all facets of life. This developments have contributed immensely to the cultural differences. There are many factors responsible for cultural change some of which are ECOLOGICAL FACTOR; which could be responsible for the change in the ways of the life of the people especially dressing. The tendency is there for people to wear cloths that will keep them warm in winter season when temperature are exceptionally cold. Also ecological factor has as way of influencing the occupation of the people. For instance people in the river Nile have a higher tendency to take fishing as occupation. Also CULTURAL DIFFUSION is also a factor of cultural change which means that the culture of other people could be diffused to a particular place through migration. This explains why religion became so widespread in Africa today. Lastly,another factor of cultural change is NEW DISCOVERY AND CONVENTION: This transcends accross various areas of life like Agriculture,transportation,Communication. Culture could also be categorized into material culture such as language and education. Elements of culture includes language,religion,technology. Language remains the most important culture and is majorly expressed in form of speech or gestures. There are over 2000 separate languages among different people in the world. The languages at world levels include English, French, Iberian languages. Iberian languages encompasses Spanish Russian German and Portuguese. Generally there are 13 languages in the world and One of them is the BANTU. within the Bantu group,based on Tropical Africa are those speaking Swahili,Zulu,chagga. Remember I mentioned religion as part of the elements of culture. It is an effort made by various beliefs systems to explain nature and mysteries of life. Although religion is expected to promote unity,it has turned out to be an element of Disunity. Different types of religions are Christianity and Islam which are the most common ones. Then there is Hinduism which Is practices by Indians and Shintu practiced by the Japanese. Also technology is a major element of culture. It has contributed to the transformation of the primitive way of doing things to a modernised approach. This had contributed not only to improving the quality but also the quantity of production. Well Steemians I think I've explained the Culture in its simplest form!! Some of you might not know or have heard of the BANTU peoples.
