How To Properly Rest On Weekends

Life can get very busy, so we all crave for weekends to rest. Most people think that resting is only about laying around and watching tv. 

But that, won't make you feel properly rested.

Weekends are your sacried times off from your busy workweeks. Use them wisely and feel renovated for the next week, by following these useful steps:

*Make conscious choices. Think on them.

It's so easy to get caught on laziness and plop down on the couch on a Friday or Saturday night to watch TV and maybe a movie, but think again about it. You only have a few weekends in your life to ENJOY. 

Do you really want to fall into these routines and suck away the free hours you have just by laying on your couch? I don't think so.

Choose consciously what you're going to do. If you only let the hours flow, you will fill them with something that is going to be less fullfiling than the thing we would really wish todo if we had elected before.

*Treat yourself.

You have a few hours free.  Consider them as both a relaxing closure to the stresfull week you had prior and a way to revitalize for the week ahead. Pick up the book you've wanting to read, go to the movies and watch the one you've craving to see all the week because you're a fan, take a long bath, search for a new recipe and do an amazing lunch or dinner, or simple go to a restaurant to eat your favorite food.

*Don't do too many chores.

Chores always wait until we have an available space to do them. But think: if you decide to do them on weekdays, you’ll do them faster and will spend less time doing them simply because you have less time, and you'll use it efficiently. 

It's totally better to spend your weekends checking out a new cafe or trying a new restaurant, than chained doing laundry.

*Don't fill every minute.

Three events taking at least 3 hours is an amount of nine hours of your 36 waking ones on your weekend. That leaves a lot of time for sitting and playing with your children or watching your favorite serie if you've been wanting to watch the new episode all the week.

*Make plans for Sunday night. That way you won't be thinking about the job you have the next day.

This is an easy way to avoid stressing about work you'll have to do tomorrow. This can happen even when you like your job, but for people who don't like their jobs and not feel happy with them, Sunday night can be very stressfull.

As you see, weekends is not only about sleeping and laying on the couch, to really get your mind rested you have to do things completely diffrente than the ones you do on your weekdays.
