It is all about marketing, the gym owners have no way to oppose to the kfc moving next to their location. The one that could have stopped this is the owner of the building, but I guess as long as he is paid good in terms of rent, he really doesnt care that a fast food is placed near the gym. This shouldn't be a problem for the serious athletes, which have no cravings for kfc anymore, but for the begginers which already struggle sticking to a meal plan.
