A Very Traditional BBQ

Today we had an amazing day horseriding with a gaucho family, travelling with the family as they rode for 3 hours to move his cattle from one pasture to another.

When we arrived we were pretty worn out, and luckily the family had prepared food and put on an amazing barbeque.

We had a feast of sausages, meat, cheese and lots of wine. As is tradition (and as I've mentioned previously) no barbeque is an Argentinian barbeque without a siesta after dinner.

One of the highlights was enjoying a very traditional Argentine cook up called an asado. The farmer prepared and cooked a whole lamb roasted over the fire for hours.

The asado typically takes place around christmas time when all the families get together and share their food.
