Good Fences Make for Good Neighbors

where the fence ends the problems begin

There is a lot of political talk about the southern border of the USA. To a logical person, it is obvious that a country should be allowed to defend its borders or at least know who and what is crossing them. Even a county that is supposed to be as free as the USA, should know who is entering, at a minimum, for the security of the system. I sometimes wish we could retroactively revoke the citizenship of all the socialists currently living in the county.

The mostly hidden push behind the illegal migration is the groups for open borders. While "open borders" sounds like a nice idea, it is more than just a method of chipping away at the sovereignty of a nation. Open borders also is a way to remove personal possessions. If a government can't claim its borders, then an individual can't claim they're property rights. It goes hand in hand, and the statists know this.

Most people don't know the The Declaration of Independence originally ended with Life, Liberty and Property, three rights that were natural, inherent, and inalienable. There is a big debate as to why Jefferson changed Locke's wording, but the key here is that property is a right, not created by governments or handed out by men.

I am having my own little property and fence issue. My neighbor decided to cut down some large trees in their yard. It made a big mess, which is understandable. They piled the wood near our fence. I assumed this was temporary and they would move it later. Well, I noticed today that they actually built a wood rack along the fence.

I am not sure what they are thinking. I didn't put up my fence, some previous owner did and they took an easy route of going from one side neighbor fence to the other in an almost straight line. This left a good portion of the yard on the outside of the fence. Both the wood piles are on my property. The wood stand is even on the portion of my property straight back from my house. I could understand the first location might be a mistake, but the second location is obviously not in their yard.

Maybe they figured hiding it behind a bush in my yard would keep me from ever finding out.

So, at some point, I have to talk to my neighbor about this. Or, I will just cut up the wood and put it around my fire pit.

Here in Canada we need good fences or the rabbits 🐇 and deer 🦌 would eat all my homegrown vegetables and hemp.

My entire yard is fenced in. When I was raking yesterday, I found two piles of rabbit droppings. We have also had a turtle get in the yard, which is the most puzzling mystery of all.

Hahah that is semi comical.

Hope y’all are friends or something lol

Nope. Have only spoken to them once or twice.

or you could build a new fence or plant some fast growing trees or a hedge.
I have a six foot wood 'privacy' fence around my bark yard (neighbors dogs never shut up) which I intend to put a lattice on the top...then plant vines. I intend it to be at least eight foot tall when I'm done.

We want to put a new fence at the actual property line, just don't have it in the budget right now.
It would quickly take the wood piles.

move the old fence?

Too short to cover the property line on the back side of the lot.

beware and be aware...adverse possession comes to mind.

I would say they have given you a whole bunch of Free wood.... enjoy.

Also... you should plant a row of hemp along the entire Fence.... it will grow 15’ tall and provide you enough CBD oil to become a billionaire since CBD May be the cure for Cancer. And you can use the hemp to make ropes, clothing and sails for tall ships.

I'm working on growing grapes along the fence.

I still wonder if by legalizing growing hemp, it would kill any market, since anyone can grow it.

Yes... I am growing it indoors (it’s-30celsius outside today) with a few LED lights.... it grows so fast.... like a weed.

Maybe they realized that they would then have to recognize the ownership of the lands stolen from the native peoples.
