An Interesting Marketing Strategy

... My buddy just sent me this article again about EOS being added to Coinbase and Coinbase education rewards program.

It's interesting.

We were talking about how this is a great way to market to newbies s well as people inside of crypto.

Incentivizing people with crypto for doing some sort of valuable action is a great way to onboard new users.

It gets me thinking... How can we do this for Steem? Any thoughts?

My friend has an interesting idea:

Create a page that has some sort of "module-esque" design.. Similar to Coinbase earn...

Then reward people for doing the following:

  1. Sign up for a Steem account through the page.
  2. Once they get their account up and running, add a profile image, a bio, etc. etc.
  3. Then create their first post.

Then you hit them with some kind of reward... Upvotes... Powered Up STEEM... etc.

But, he said, you don't stop there... You continue to reward them for other positive actions on the blockchain.

Perhaps joining a community like Steemmonsters and buying a starter set and playing a few matches...

Or perhaps joining a community like Steemhunt and creating their own hunt...

Or Actifit and create a post using the fitness tracker...

Then, if you have the means, you could even continually incentivize the group of people that you've onboarded by keeping them on a regular upvote trail... Provided that they aren't abusing the economy or spam posting or what-not...

It's a VERY interesting idea and I'm really glad that he's out there thinking about how to actually IMPLEMENT it...

But as he says -- it takes the means and the will to make something like this a reality!
