Even though the ancient form of slavery seem to have been abolished, yet the mentality of enslaving others or getting enslaved willfully still lingers. Those days, people were exchanged for cheap items like mirrors and cowries against their wishes, but at the command and satisfaction of lords (kings and masters).

Upon finishing the various exchanges and transactions with these slave masters, the slaves are taken away in chains (most times in cuffs). Their rights at those points ceases to be theirs, their personally drafted life plans automatically begs the slave masters for execution which usually isn't attended to. Very many of these ancient slaves must have purported in their minds to go places, become great like Nebuchadnezzar and possibly marry several wives like the Israeli Solomon, but at long last, they end up in plantations where they serve ONLY the interest of the slave lord and getting compensated meagerly.

FAST-FORWARD TO TODAY, THE 21ST CENTURY

I have been particularly motivated to write this post by a post i saw online: [What Does Success Really Mean to You?](https://www.success.com/article/what-does-success-really-mean-to-you. In this post, the author quoted JIM ROHN as saying:

“If you don’t design your own life plan, chances are you’ll fall into someone else’s plan. And guess what they have planned for you?

Just as JIM ROHN asked: ....AND GUESS WHAT THEY HAVE PLANNED FOR YOU?, Very many persons have yielded themselves to enslavement unconsciously. Very many persons have been sweet-tongued into believing their personally drafted plans are not good enough to change their lives. Very many persons have been lured into the rat race and very many persons have never woken to the reality of the ticking away of time.

Hey! do you agree with me on the fact that the cooperate world is the modern day plantation wherein the modern day slaves (staffs or employees as the deceitful name implies) work? Do you agree with me also that the modern day cuffs are the salary structures promised these modern slaves after 30 days of hard labor? Finally, do you agree with me that just as it was with the ancient slaves where they were later compensated as a means of keeping them tied forever, so it is with the modern slaves who have been placed on salary in order to keep them on the plantation (Cooperate world).

A close look at the contemporary cooperate world, an observing one will glaringly see no difference between what slavery used to be in the 50s, 60s, and 70s and what it is currently. The only difference I have always personally seen is the fact that the tools/implements for working were modernized and the benefits for the slaves/outlooks were upgraded.....Let's compare below:

In the ancient slave days, these slaves were given clothes to differentiate them from other free born. Fast forward to today, aren't our cooperate workers having a form of dress code which differentiate them from other non-cooperate workers?

In the ancient slave days, holes were borne into the ear lobes or noses of these slaves in other to recognize them whenever they come around to do their jobs on the plantation and also for recognition outside the plantation. Fast forward to today, aren't the cooperate workers having chips borne into their foreheads or hands, aren't some given ID cards or Other items for easy recognition when they come to do their daily jobs?

What more can we say about pension fund? The ancient slaves contributed to a common purse in order to get something to begin life with upon gaining freedom, this applies also to the modern slaves who pay part of their salaries in hopes of getting paid after years of active service

Finally on this, I won't forget to point out the fact that the children of the ancient slaves got the opportunity of continuing from where their parents stopped (possibly because of ill health, age or even death). This sadly applies to the children of the modern day slaves who get appointment letters to serve on the same plantation their parents served before an eventuality befell them.

Not much, and in some cases, Nothing!

Let me begin this section with a quote I will live to remember.

Could you please spend some time to ruminate over the above quote?......are you stupid like the monkey as described above?

Very many persons fail to come to the realization that just as the giver of money and banana to the monkey has no real plan of bettering the life of the monkey, so it is with every slave master (the bosses at work) who has little or no good plan for any of their slaves (employees)....

WHAT ARE THE VARIOUS MEANS BY WHICH PEOPLE ARE ENSLAVED

Jobs....The cooperate world.....The modern day Sugarcane plantation (SUGAR and CANE)

Very many persons are enslaved with job, and they really do not have time to think through about how to better their lives.

Toys of Life.....The properties of life...The cars, the mansions and family.....

Very many times people get enslaved in the rat race, in the cooperate world because of the zeal to acquire these toys of life.

Zeal to please others, especially family at the detriment of working at own life plan no matter how long it takes to achieve success

MY CANDID ADVISE TO MY READERS

Knowing that your boss/employer is an hypocrite and has no real plan for you, what then should you do to better your life?

I have outlined few items below to help you. I practically applied all of them and they worked for me, my life is bettered by them. You can also think to put some of them if not all, to good use.

Sit down quietly to think through. Should you keep being a slave to someone and getting shouted at always?

Can't you also be an employer of labor?

Think about possible ways to start out a sustainable business

Divide your current monthly handcuff (salary) by 30 days (1 month)and see how much they say you are worth daily

Don't you spend more than this monthly fee in a day sometimes? don't you have the right to be happy too? don't you deserve to go on luxurious trips and holidays with your family or friends too?

Come to think of it, Isn't your happiness worth more than the toys of life which are making you remain a slave?

If you ask these questions and answer them sincerely, something begins to move within you. ....It happened to me.
