I love star gazing.
There is nothing like it to smash through the narrow perspectives we can sometimes adopt. And the facts blow the mind. Billions of stars in the Milky Way.
Billions of other galaxies. Actually, there are 100 billion galaxies. Over 100 billion. 100,000,000,000. https://www.space.com/25303-how-many-galaxies-are-in-the-universe.html
It's unbelievable. Yet it's true - we can see them. We can count them.
And then my imagination takes flight. The possibilities! Boundless. What life form wouldn't exist in a universe of 100 billion galaxies, each with billions of stars?
Thinking about this is right up there in my list of favourite things.
