Today I bring you a collection of unusual and extraordinary places that you probably do not know. I hope you like my post and remember it is never bad to learn something new.

The world is an impressive place, that without any doubt leaves us perplexed with the variety of landscapes it houses. Some of these are really peculiar, with characteristics that seem to be taken from movies and some others deceive us with optical illusions created by nature. These amazing places show us that in addition to immense, our planet is unpredictable and insolit.

Reed Flute Caves - China.

With more than 180 million years, the Reed Flute cave is a landmark and tourist attraction in Guilin, in the Guanxi region.

The place is a limestone cave with artificial multicolor lighting provided by the government of the region. The cave owes its name to the type of cane that grows on the outside, which are used for the creation of flutes.

An interesting fact is that the director George Lucas chose this landscape as a stage to film some scenes of the movie of "Star Wars".

This stepped cistern has 3500 steps in 13 levels and reaches a depth of 20 meters.

This baori is excavated in the form of an inverted pyramid from a large square plant. This important surface allowed to collect directly a maximum of water in the period of the monsoons. By building with steps, the Indian community could reach the groundwater more easily. In this way, the population was guaranteed water supply in times of need.

Located on Middle Island, this lake has a length of about 600 meters.

Although it has not been definitively proven, it is believed that the characteristic pink color of this lake is due to a contrast medium created by the organisms "Dunaliella salina" and "Halobacteria".

Despite its unusual tonality, the lake has no known adverse effects in humans, and its color is permanent pink and does not change when the water is poured into a container.
It is believed that the island and the lake were mapped for the first time by the Flinders expedition in 1802.

They are located in the northern part of New Zealand, specifically in King Country.

The characteristic brightness of the place is due to the mosquito "Glowworm" which shines through bioluminescence. The cave was created by a movement of earth, the rock was exposed to the air, separated and created cracks and weaknesses that allowed the flow of water through them.

The cave is formed by three different levels, linked by a vertical axis of 16 meters of limestone. In the second level it is much smaller and when there are many visitors, it is usually closed by the accumulation of carbon monoxide so it can be unhealthy.
However, you have to reach the third level to enjoy the real show. It is called "The Cathedral" and is a closed area with rock walls about 18 meters high with great acoustics.

Approximately 1,200 miles off the southeastern coast of Africa you will find an island known as Mauritius Island, home to this underwater illusion at the southwestern tip of the island. This illusion is caused by the accumulation of sand and mud deposits that take this form under water.
