Thursdaygreen: Wishing All a Green Health

in #life2 years ago

During my preteen years and early teenage years, the thoughts of adulthood was fun. Sometimes, we used our eyelashes to put on our jaws to serve as beards 😏. Those silly games made adolescence funny when one reminisced and compare it with Adulthood.

Talking about adulthood, my advise to whoever have the power to remain young is not to venture into that stage. That stage called adulthood really sucks and gets scary sometimes with many heavy responsibilities competing on which one will get the front stage in attention theatre.

The downturn involved in adulthood can also make one to have a rethink sometimes. In recent times, I've watched my parent's health deteriorate to unprecedented level. My dad that rarely gets sick prior to now, hardly stays a week without taking prescription drugs.

Just this week, his blood pressure shot up to around 140/100, making the drugs he's been taking seem a waste of resources. He narrated how it seemed to him like his legs were not carrying his body weight, with his legs wobbling as he moved. I had to take him home and ensure he didn't leave the house the following day so he can rest very well.

Because he's been on orthodox drugs for a long time without much success, we decided to opt for natural medicine to assist in regulating his blood pressure. If you know the plant below, then you may have idea of its curative properties.

I can't remember the English name nor the local name around but its leaves are thick, as you can notice from the pictures.

Have you tried using the plant or any other plants for curative purposes? What was it, and how did you go about it?
