Givers Vs Takers: The Reality About Life That Many Don't Know!

Hello dear steemians, a warm welcome to my blog today. I am so excited today to share with you something that's very important for us to know about.

In life, there are two categories of people: Givers and Takers.

Givers are those who are willing to share what they have with others. They're willing to go out of their way to be good and kind to others. And most times, such people create projects and systems that support others to become successful and get to the top. They think contribution to any system they find themselves.

On the other hand are the takers. They're milkers of any system they find themselves. They always feel that they have is not enough for them so they want to take more. And most of them in a bid to take from others, they might step on other people's toes without giving a damn. What these group don't realize is that at the end, they become losers.

Now on the Steemit in particular, the statements above still applies. There are givers and takers. And both groups have played out to either grow the system or try to bring it down.

In the course of my little time spent on Steemit, I have come to see a lot of givers who are working so hard to improve the community. In as much as I have not had a one-on-one encounter with everyone on Steemit, I write this based on the few I know, and I trust that with time, I'll get to know more about others and the work they do. My mention of the few names I know is in no way to sing any one's praises but to use them as example to illustrate my point.

Below are the few givers I know now, and hoping to expand this list in the future.

  1. @dobartim. He's the founder of steemschools worldwide.

Based on his personal experience on Steemit, he discovered the challenges that most steemians, especially minnows and newbies, and he thought of a system that will support others to grow and succeed on Steemit and life in general. It was out of this passion that #steemschools was born. The school is both online and physical. The online school is hosted on discord with over 7500 members. The school holds Live classes everyday at 9pm UTC to teach students how to succeed on Steemit. There are different topics that are taught on: Poetry, Art, quality commenting, making quality posts, how to gain more followers etc. In addition, the school hosts a lot of contests where amazing prizes in SBD are given as rewards. One of such contests worth mentioning is the #Steemschools Ultimate Challenge where prizes 10sbd was given to all winners, over 45 participants and these winners were entered into a grand contest to win 40sbd each. I am a recipient of this prize too. I won 50sbd in total prize.

Apart from this online school, there are the physical schools already established in Macedonia, Nigeria, California, and now plans are underway to establish the school in Venezuela and other Latin-America countries, the Philippines etc. The mission is to make steemit grow and help people all around the world learn how to Steem and gain financial freedom.

This is indeed a big mission worth reckoning. A big thanks to @dobartim and @flysky, @aidasfg7, @tatjanastan for this great collaboration to make this project a success.

Driven by a deep-seated spirit of generosity, he extends a helping hand to all and sundry. He has created quite a number of projects on Steemit:

a. @teardrops, a project which gives you the opportunity to express your moment of tears with others without being afraid of being judged.

b. @ulog which allows you to share your daily activities with steemians and you are celebrated. In @ulog, everyone is a true celebrity.

As long as you use the tag in a day, you're sure to get an upvote. I also remember a time I got a huge upvote from him @surfyogi personally. How excited I was.
  1. @hr1. He is another generous steemian too. He upvotes a lot of contents with good upvotes. I was once talking with a friend here on Steemit and immediately I mentioned @hr1, my friend then said how consistently gets good upvotes from him.

This blog alone will not allow me to mention all the names I have on my lists. I guess I have to do a continuation post about this another time.

Now to you reading this now. Are you a giver or a taker? Are you a contributor or depleter? What impact are you making in the Steemit space? Are you for yourself alone or you're here for a cause bigger than yourself?

The truth is the giver will always have more than the taker. No wonder the Holy Bible admonishes that it is more blessed to give than to receive. Givers will never lose.

I want you to spend time to meditate on the above questions and let the answers you get help you in making good decisions to be a giver in this community.

Thanks for your time to go throug my blog.

This is only the part 1 of this post. A second part would be worked on where more givers and their works will be talked about.
