Counseling in Meurah Mulia Subdistrict was established in 2006, at that time BPP Meurah Mulia did not have its own building and still rented a shop in Keude Jungka Gajah, from 2006 to 2018 the extension workers had increased, this was because the number of extension workers was not comparable to the number of villages in the district.

Initially the work of the instructor was to identify the potential of the area contained in the villages in the sub-district of Meurah Mulia. Identification of the potential of agricultural areas, agriculture, livestock, and forestry is a plan that is prepared systematically to describe the needs needed by farmers in the WKPP (Agricultural Extension Work Areas). Meurah Mulia Subdistrict and the subdistrict government program to provide direction and guidance as a tool for achieving the education objectives in the following year, the agricultural extension work area in Meurah Mulia District.

The preparation of agricultural, plantation and forestry extension programs in WKPP Meurah Mulia is expected to be used as a reference for extension workers in carrying out extension work so as to produce strategic agricultural extension activities and have high power to increase productivity of superior commodities and increase farmers' income and also become information material for related agencies in determining policies for the development of agriculture, plantations, livestock and forestry.

The goal to be achieved in the preparation of agricultural extension programs in WKPP in Meurah Mulia District is to improve the ability and skills of members of farmer groups in implementing food crop farming, improve their ability and skills in conducting livestock business so that farmers can utilize the yard, utilizing materials existing organic and invites farmers to continue to preserve nature.
