Kenduri Celebrating Maulid in Dayah

Today, there is a kenduri to celebrate the Maulid (Birthday) of Prophet Muhammad SAW, in Dayah Darul Muta'allimin Tunas Muda, Paya Punteuet Village, Lhokseumawe, Aceh. One of the santri in this dayah is my son.
Based on the result of the meeting of the board of teachers and the dayah leader along with all the parents of the santri, two weeks ago, agreed to hold a kenduri maulid event on this day. So, my wife last night to prepare a kenduri at home, then I brought it to dayah this afternoon.
Kenduri in the form of rice wrapped in banana leaves that have been dilayukan, we in Aceh call it "Bu Kulah", chicken curry, fried chicken, boiled chicken eggs. There is also a sticky rice mixed with coconut content that has been processed in such a way, also wrapped with banana leaves have dilayukan. In addition, there is a chicken banana.
All the parcels kenduri carried by the parents of the santri were collected in the room of one of the buildings in Dayah Tunas Muda. A number of local residents assisted the santri then put kenduri in plastic bags to be easily distributed to the guests.
While waiting for the division of kenduri, held Dzikir Maulid by santri, we in Aceh call it "Dike Molod".
Kenduri to celebrate the Maulid (Birthday) of Prophet Muhammad SAW has become a tradition of Acehnese society, including among santri dayah, since time immemorial.
