Never Give The Devil The Chance
Mighty warrior, great in battle, Jehovah is your name. Indeed Jehovah is your name, throughout our stay through the week you were so good to us as a father loves his sons and daughters. It is not because of the money we have or our beauty that we are alive today but it is by your Grace and Mercies that we are here today and we say THANK YOU LORD.
Today our theme of meditation will be;
Never Give The Devil A Chance
Ephesians 6:11
Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.
It heartens me, when I see believers moving from one prayer camp to the other with their problems. Today you see them at this prayer camp and tomorrow you will see them at a different prayer camp. So I ask myself these questions all the time; Are their problems so big that they cannot be solved by at one prayer camp or Do they just enjoy moving around from this pastor to that pastor all the time?
Believers these days, have given the devil the chance to have authority over them. They have made the devil look so powerful and looked down upon their selves. They keep making the devil use them as his prey by putting fear in them.
At times, I ask myself so do all these believers even have time to read their Bibles and if they really do then do they understand what they read about always. Even before mankind came into existence God sat on his throne and said now He has created all the things of the world and He wanted someone to take control over them, so He said let’s make someone in my own image and likeness.
God then created us in his own image and likeness and gave us the breathe of life. He then gave us power over everything on below and above the skies. The devil then has no place in your life to torment you with fears and all sort of problems because you are in Christ. God has made Jesus Christ the name above every name and that as sons and daughters of the Lord, whenever we mention the name Jesus every problem we have moves away and whatever we have lost come back to us.
Don’t let the devil put up his fear in you because, he has no power over you. You are stronger and mightier than him through Christ our Lord. All you need is to trust God and just at the mention of Jesus Christ in every situation you go through and you will defeat whatever situation it is. Never give the devil the chance to be preying on you.
1 Peter 5:8-9, tells us to;
Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your family of believers all over the world is going through the same kind of suffering you are.
Note from the above scripture, "looking for someone to devour" suggests that it is not everyone he can devour. He can devour only the ignorant. Know where the devil is supposed to be in your life n just place him there.
Be on your guard and take time to study the word of God very well so you don’t get deceived by the devil to give the chance to put more fear in you again. Let God’s words be in your hearts and mind and the devil will have no authority over you. AMEN
