#ULOG - Daily Thoughts - 02 Jun 18 - Homesteading Today...

Good Morning, Steemians! :D

It’s a grey and windy morning out there. :D

Dakota giving me his “I want out by myself” face. :D

Mya (1) and Karma (2) watching the boys wrestling. :D

My husband @timmyoflinn weeding one of the garden beds. :D

My favorite tree looks pretty with the clouds behind it. :D

The sun working so hard to break through the clouds. :D

Here comes Belle (4) for her milking. :D Leroy (1), Princess (2), and Candy (3) aren’t far behind her, they all want oats too. :D

Princess (1) grazing while Candy (2) settles in for a nap and Junior (3) looks for ways to break into the other pen. He found a way a little while after I took this picture. Thankfully my husband saw him, and we got him back into his pen before he managed to find an escape route out of the second pen. :D

Our puppies and grand-puppies, Lady (1), Shadow (2), Dakota (3), Tiny (4), Karma (5), and Mya (6) enjoying being able to see us while we’re working in the backyard. :D

Junior (1) is back in the pen with the Pinky (2) and Lil’ Miss. My husband @timmyoflinn fixed it so Junior can’t get out of their pen again and won’t be escaping again for a while at least. :D Candy (background between Pinky and Lil’ Miss) is tired today, she spent most of the morning laying down behind the pig’s pen. :D

Lady (1), Mya (2), Dakota (3), Karma (4), and Tiny (5) are all settling down for a nap in the breeze. :D

Here come Buddy (1) and Joker (2), they must have stopped and grazed the whole way up to the main pasture. :D

Instead of an ostrich sticking their head in the sand we’ve got our pretty Princess sticking her head in the hay, LOL. :D

We’re on our way into town to join some friends at “Rib Fest”, basically there are different trucks with racks and racks of ribs with varying sauces, YUM! :D

Rib Truck 1. This is the Fat Boys Barbecue truck. :D

Rib Truck 2. This is the Texas Rangers Barbecue truck. :D

Rib Truck 3. The is the Crabby’s Barbecue truck, this one was my favorite. :D

For those that aren’t fans of ribs, they also had this Tater King truck that sold fries, fries with gravy, poutine, and bloomin’ onions like you’d get at restaurants like The Outback. :D

There was a live band playing pretty good music while we enjoyed our supper. :D

The beverage area had everything from water to pop to lemonade and beer. :D

The sun is breaking through the clouds, hopefully it manages to stick around long enough to get some nice sunset pictures. :D

A couple of birds flying around above us after we got home. :D

The chickens came out to scratch a bit more before they go in for the night. :D
