Discovering Your God-Giving Identity
It is when a man discovers himself that the true journey of the fulfilment of his destiny begins.
Without discovery, recovery will be difficult because what you don’t discover you can’t recover.
Let's take a look at A Rose Flower. A Rose Flower can be called any name, but the rose remains a rose. The same thing is applicable to a human being, people can call you different names based on their own perspective and view about you but that does not change YOU if you discover whom you truly are.
There is a story of one man in the Holy book called Jacob. He wrestled with God’s angel. During the wrestling, the angel asked Jacob, “ what is your name?”, he answered, ”Jacob”. Jacob was the name given to him by his parent which means ”A Deceiver”, he believed that’s who he will always be. But then, the angel said ”your name will no longer be Jacob which means deceiver, but Israel which means a prince with God".
God revealed to Jacob who Jacob truly is and not what others said he was. God had a different plan for him. So God wiped off all his tears and sorrow, God lifted up his head and raised his shoulders. Israel began to walk in the new God-giving identity.
It doesn’t matter what you were known to be. It doesn’t matter the names people have been calling you. God is capable of turning things around and give you new Identity that will turn you into testimony and that will re-write your story for good while giving you a new identity.
You have the responsibility not to dwell on what people are saying concerning you, but rather believe in what God has in stock for you even right from the foundation of the earth. His thought is never our own thought neither His plans are our own plans, as far as heaven is to the earth, so is His plans towards our lives to give us a glorious future and a change of stories.
It is time for you to discover your real identity and start walking in your God-giving identity.
You are never a loser but a winner
You are not a victim but a victor.
You are not meant to be beneath but to be above only.
You are not a failure but you are meant to be successful in all your endeavours.
You are destined to reign and rule over principalities and powers and over all the challenges of life.
Never believe in the lies of the Devil and the world. You were created for the best. I see you succeeding as you keep walking in your God-giving identity.
