Yes, I completely understand that feeling. It can be the same for me, even with photographs - but particularly when I try to write something, which is what I've been working on lately. You put it out there, and then sometimes cringe and wonder... what have I done??? And that means you are at the edge of your comfort zone, which is where you need to be! :-)
I love that philosophy. Agreed, a cringe is a good thing.
