What to do to become an energetic person!

in #life6 years ago (edited)

jogging-2343558_1280.jpgMost people always tell others that they are busy and got no time. This is partly because being busy is apparently a ''good'' thing. The truth is that being busy is a result of poor time management. The second biggest reason for people is that they got the time but lack the energy. This is a big reason why people eat junk food, watch TV & Youtube, don't sport and feel unhappy. Do you recognize yourself?

How to get more energy?

It's probably very obvious that you need to live healthier to feel happy and energetic. This doesn't really help you because you already knew that. The short answer is to exclude negative people, coffee & drugs, sleep early & wake up early, find purpose in work & life and all of this will be easier with a good diet.
So now let's work on the long answer :).

What to avoid

Some foods that drain a person's energy are food that is hard to digest, lack nutrients or are a diuretic. Also here first the obvious big errors in someone’s diet.

  • Drugs including alcohol and caffeine based drinks.
  • Added salt
  • Packaged foods because of salt, lack of nutrients and other preservatives
  • Fried foods
  • Low-quality foods with low nutrients.

Quite those and it should make a huge difference in your energy levels. If you still lack energy you need to modify your diet more.

  • Lunch meat and other prepared meats have high amounts of sulfites, salt and a poor omega 3:6:9 ratio. The only healthy meats are grass fed free range. Most people should eat less meat and eat more quality meat. Believe it or not but the recommended amount of meat is roughly a half kilo per week! I know enough people that eat this daily. A higher consumption of meat is not a huge problem if this meat is grass fed and varied. Don't eat only muscle. The healthiest parts of most animals are their organs.
  • IF you're often hungry, have an office job, are overweight than quite most carbs. Most of the sources of carbs are low nutrient and give sugar spikes. It's for most people better to eat less bread, potato, sugar, rice, and beans. Most grains and beans also need special ways to prepare to be correctly digestible and less toxic. I don't say quite but root vegetables and fruit have enough sugars for your body to function and have way more nutrients.
  • Overeating and snacking makes you tired. Digesting food requires a lot of energy. Eat max 3 times a day. A cola, calorie-rich coffee, and candy also count as ''eating''. Allot of people even say that their energy levels went up allot if they eat all foods in a 4 hour time window. This is called the warrior diet or intermittent fasting.
  • Focus on nutrients, not on calories.
  • Try to wake up a little before sunrise and get at LEAST 8 hours of sleep. Sleeping less results in less creativity and ''boxed'' thinking. This makes you less efficient in work and life.
  • Eat small amounts of milk products and only drink raw milk, kefir, yogurt and cheeses from healthy animals. Most people don't have access to quality milk products and it's not a problem at all to quite milk products completely.
  • Juice or blend daily with the focus on vegetables. Make it tasty with fruit. Drink it always slowly to avoid digestive problems and sugar spikes.

What to start

To really feel awesome you can also eat more of super healthy foods that pack a lot of nutrients. It is not essential on a varied diet to but the so-called ''superfoods'' just eat healthy and quality.

  • Water and herbal teas are great, drink at least a 1 a 2 liters per day. You should pee more often than your used to and your pee should be often clear.
  • Eat more dark green vegetables like spinach and kale.
  • Eat organ meat, mushrooms, nuts, wild foraged foods, spices, probiotic foods etc. You have to learn to eat most of those foods if you're used to the dull salty western diet. There are much more flavors in life than salt, sugar and pepper.
  • Try to handle the most annoying things in your life first, otherwise, this weighs you down.
  • Consider water fasting or juice fasting if you have one of the classic western diseases like high blood pressure, digestive issues, heart problems, weight or skin problems.

I like the word ‘being busy due to poor time management’. Time management in life is very important. Nice health tips. I always try to drink green tea. I take it with little lemon and with no sugar. Thanks for the valuable topic sharing. Keep it up.

I love this kind of posts. Maybe I will start with having a good health post. Thanks for the great remind too it's been a while I didn't know that good habits of food and rest is important.

any food keeps you alive but only quality food/habits makes you energetic and clear minded.

This post is very useful as an stimulant for readers. exactly alot of people have been knowing that scheduled exercises can bring good result to their bodies. but we have many reasons to undo such important exercises. 100 % agree to your post. thank for sharing us.

Thats a good target. At some point i started to kidna realize it, maybe it was on trips on forests i made, that some food really gives more energy. Even thinking idea of taking some non-erergetic foods with to survival trip is a bit ridiculous. I realized for example to take beans/fruits/vegetables(green food in general), they give a lot more boost on the trip.
