How the conscious mind interprets the subconscious mind

in #life6 years ago (edited)

One night, Allison DuBois sneaked in the back of his house. She is looking for a machine that is capable of generating hot wattage. Somehow, like someone pushed him to do that.

The next morning, she went to the supermarket and bought some sacks of fertilizer and power plant (accumulator). She did not know what she was going to do. But, like the night before, she felt a powerful urge to do just that.

Arriving at home, she immediately did as ordered by the impulse. She started fiddling with the accumulators and fertilizer she'd just bought from the supermarket. She does not know what she is doing. All he does is follow a strong impulse; doing something as it appears in his dreams.

Lucky his husband came soon, check what Allison is trying to do. He suspected his wife's movements. And, sure enough, when they found their warehouse full of fertilizers and power plants, the husband realized that Allison was about to assemble a bomb. He immediately stopped the action of his wife.

How ironic, is not it? When Allison followed a very strong dream drive, it turned out to endanger her and her family.

Hehe, just calm down, the story above is just fictional. The story is a piece of a scene from the TV series titled Medium that the author watched some time ago. Here, the author will not talk about the series. It's just that there's something interesting about the story, that is how the conscious mind interprets the subconscious mind.

Regardless of whether the story is fictional or ever happened, in reality, in real life, there are many people who have visions exactly like Allison DuBois experienced. Call it vision as inspiration, direction, revelation, wangsit, or whatever. World figures such as Thomas Alva Edison, August Kekule, Rene Descartes, and Dimitry Mendeleyev are among them.

Told that the world class inventor figures get the inspiration that leads them in problem solving. The inspiration is obtained through the vision, which comes from their unconscious memory, whether it is obtained through dreams or concentration.

But what's different between those world-class inventors and Allison DuBois? The difference is that the inventors are able to interpret their subconscious minds and apply them in the context of their lives, while Allison DuBois is less able to interpret his subconscious dreams in accordance with the context of the problems she faces.

The series teaches us that the subconscious is not enough! The subconscious mind is a blind force. It is a double-edged knife. It can be a saving knife, it can also be a deadly blade.

The subconscious mind can be deadly when it is not controlled by the conscious mind. Well, what happened to Allison was that her subconscious mind became a deadly blade for her. His ability to gain subconscious vision (through dreams) is not matched by a sharp interpretive ability. She follows his subconscious impulse blindly. As a result, when the impulse leads him to do harmful acts, he does not realize it.

Meanwhile, what happens to world-class inventors is that their subconscious mind becomes a saving knife. This is because their subconscious vision (either through dream or concentration) is translated through their conscious mind. And, luckily, their mind-conscious analytical skills are sharp enough to translate their subconscious dreams so that they can be applied in the context of the problems they face.

These interpretative skills make their vision meaningful and can be used to solve problems.

Well, here we can conclude that the conscious mind and the subconscious mind must walk in sync and support each other. The power of the subconscious mind must be balanced with the power of the conscious mind.

Yup! The power of the conscious mind. These are the points that the authors will discuss in this paper. As the title suggests, the author will share some knowledge of the power of the human conscious mind.

Hopefully with this paper, we know how to align the conscious and subconscious minds for our good.
