Bees Hang Out On Their Front Port
My bees come out and hang on their front porch when it's too hot inside their hive.
They worked all day. But they're chilling hard this evening. This got me to thinking more about work-life balance.
When you don't have attention. You don't have time. So if you get an email or a text later in the evening should you check it? Can you put out a work fire right now?
The problem is if you check the message now your mental space will be rendered useless because it will be preoccupied with solving the problem or puzzle that's been put on your plate.
So now is your free time really free since your mental space is full of work?
So maybe time without attention is useless.
Reading a late message brings you into a state where you are neither productive nor relaxed.
I try to go all in on Focus or all in on relaxation and cut out the in between.
I think my bees are doing the same this evening and hanging out on the front porch.

howdy there @happymoneyman! ya know, I had no ideas that bees got too hot, I guess because here in Texas I see them around when it's super hot but maybe that's why, too hot in their hive.

yes sir, very interesting, and you can't put holes in the hive to give them some air conditioning unless they leave but I guess they go dormant in the wintertime.
An amazing experience can analyze the life of bees until we are able to take a lesson from the life of the bees and produce a wise counsel .. thank you sir..😄

I used to keep bees and you know, they keep the hive at the same temperature inside throughout the year. You can hear the whole hive humming as they are all fanning their wings 24/7/365. God save the Queen. Good work girls!
