Be careful what you ask for

So I am sitting right here looking at this amazing couple that were so much in love with each other. They spent most of their moments together and were the subject of discussion and admiration of all. They were both working class individuals and after their marriage, all they wished for was to be successful in their individual careers. Unknown to them, that success came with a price.

They spent hours working and working and their relationship began to deteriorate and they hardly spent time with each other. Their lives as a couple is so miserable and collapsing very fast. They know what they must do but how do they go about it. They have reached a point that it is so difficult to go back. This is not what they wished for and they can only look back right now and wished their lives was just the way they started off.

Success is not entirely bad but you should not let it get the better part of you. Once you are so caught up in being successful, you neglect your duties to others especially your own family. You seem so distant and far away that you don't get to see what is right in front of you. You become blind to everything and everyone around you. You fail to realize that you are losing everything that matters to you.

Success is good but at what expense? The expense of your happiness, loved ones etc.
What price are you willing to pay to be successful? I have seen a good number of cases where people who were normally humble, sweet, simple and friendly totally changed when they tasted success. They were so carried away by it that almost everything about them changes and you are left with a totally new person.

We should never let success change us and affect our relationship with the people who truly love us. When it comes to success and your family, there should be that clear line. Your priorities should be very clear so that you don't make decisions you will regret.
