While there is a great deal of interdependence in our communities, we cannot just be on the receiving end. If one has hardships it can be easy to think they have nothing to offer others and are just needing to receive. The surprise is that the way to turn hardship around is to begin to focus on what one has to give and helping others with whatever that is.
