Why Distance Is Good for Couples

in #life4 years ago

They say making aong distance relationship last is never easy and maybe this is true. However surviving a relationship in which you are constantly next to your partner is not easy either. And, during the past two months, I think that many couples out there have felt the burden of literally being locked in the same cage with their significant other.

So, what can go wrong when you're all day long at home and so is your partner? The answer is many things. The lockdown probably offered many couples the unique occasion of having to work side by side all day.

This can be quite problematic for someone who has a peculiar work routine and maybe had their own office where they went every day before the pandemic and is now forced to share the same room with someone else who also has to focus on work.

In my case, for example, the problem is that both me and my partner listen to music all day and we have different tastes. You can olny imagine that we have to take turns in compromising, while each one would like to listen to their own playlists without having to use headphones.

Others might find it difficult to focus on work while their partner, who's also workin, has to talk constantly to clients. And the list of potential problems ould go on and on and, inmany cases, these inconveniences are the fuel that ignites bigger conflicts.

Spending so much time at home offers the opportunity to engage in many activities, including fighting with your spouse.

Therefore, the much expected "relaxation of the coronavirus restrictions" will be beneficial not only for the economy, but also for people's love life.

Sometimes, to realize how lucky you are in a relationship, you simply have to spend some time apart so that you can focus on yourself and, at the same time start yearning for your partner's presence.
