How Do We Deal with Stress?

LIFE can be stressful especially if you have a lot of tasks at hand that you need to accomplish and a pile of problems waiting for solutions. Sometimes you can't help but sigh and ask, "is there and end to these struggles?". But the truth is, no. As long as you're living, dilemmas will keep on coming because they're spices to your life. These problems will teach you a lot of things and helps mold the better version of yourself. It is really part of living and you have no choice but to suck it up. You are not the only one who has struggles in life.

So, when things get rough and unbearable, how do you deal with stress? Are you going to just give up like a loser or are you going to keep on fighting like a mighty warrior? Well, I certainly hope you'd choose the latter. You were not born to quit. You're meant to withstand the battles in life.

Don't get me wrong, I am not an expert on these things. I am just a normal human being who also get burned out and stressed when things get too messy to handle. But as life continues to challenge me, I have also learned a lot of things on how to deal with them. I'd like to share some of these tips to you although I'm pretty sure most of you are already aware of these.

  1. Remind yourself of who you are, what you want to become, what you want to achieve and what is your purpose in life. Continue to remind yourself that you are brave, you are a fighter and nothing can beat you. Look in front of the mirror and tell yourself that you will never give up because nothing is too hard for you. You were born to slay.

  2. Don't take things too seriously. Sometimes we tend to overthink and overreact. We turn small things into big deals which is definitely not good for your "stress-o-meter", right? So, loosen up. Sometimes you just have to laugh it off because not all negative things deserve a dramatic reaction. Be passive, but not too much, okay? Not too much.

  3. Take a deep breath. It's okay to slow down or maybe take a break. When you get tired, you just need to rest a little bit but don't you dare give up. Give yourself some time to replenish and recharge so you'd return to solving your problems with a renewed strength.

  4. Surround yourself with positivity. I guess that's pretty obvious and self-explanatory. You wouldn't want toxic things and people to make your life worse, would you? You've had enough of negativities in life. You've reached your quota, or maybe way beyond your quota. So, don't welcome negative things anymore. Close your doors for them.

  5. Pray. Simple but very powerful. Again, PRAY.

May these tips help you in making your baggages a bit lighter and more bearable. Always remember that you are not weak. Do not underestimate yourself. You are way stronger than you think.
