The Old Help
A story was told of a man who one day was driving his Ford car back home from work when suddenly it broke down. He knew a lot about cars so he tried fixing his car… trying different ways and each time he went back to kick start the car’s engine, it wouldn’t start or even give any sign. He was adamant of seeking external help so he continued working on the car trying to see it come on.
He tried everything and yet still the car wouldn’t start. After a couple of hours with no progress another car pulled up beside him. He turned to see the person coming out of the car and to his greatest surprise it was an old man so he turned and continued doing what he was doing. The old man stood and watched him for a few minutes then broke the silence ”Son, you see that parts over there? Just touch it and that is problem solved.” The old man said.
The car owner said to himself ”Who is this old man to tell me anything about this car than I already know…” well, let me prove him wrong he said to himself and then gave it a try… after adjusting the instructed area, he got in his car to turn on the car’s engine. And to his greatest amazement the car’s engine came back to life!
With surprise written all over his face he turned to the old man and asked ”How did you know what to do?” The old man smiled and replied; ”I am Henry Ford. I invented your car and I sure know everything about it.”
The morals we should pick out of this story is that when your life is faced by life challenging situations, don’t think you know how to fix everything, and that you any help. Always remember, only God knows how to fix our lives because we are HIS creation and HE LOVES US SO MUCH! He is our Mr. FIX IT!...
