Have you ever met someone that seemed like a really nice person but then turned out they were some kind of a robot or alien from another planet? Yeah. Me neither.

However, I meet people all the time that are pretending to be nice but are actually really terrible people. Maybe they're not terrible people, but they don't seem to actually nearly as nice as they pretending to be.

Maybe pretending is a normal part of life for a lot of people. I personally can't stand that kind of thing.

At work today a group of very nice ladies came in to enjoy lunch. There were 12 of them. They do not tip the server at all despite being incredibly nice and pleasant with him. He spent almost two hours of his time doing nothing but waiting on them. Since we don't get paid outside of tips, he did all of that for free.

In fact, he had to tip out the bartender and host so he had to pay $8 to wait on that table. He actually lost $4 per hour.

Yet those ladies seemed incredibly nice. I see this kind of thing all the time. People act like they're nice, but they don't do nice things. They want you to think that they're nice, but they don't live up to the promise of it.

Being a nice person isn't just saying nice things. When we tell people what they want to hear that doesn't mean we're being nice to them.

Being nice is really about actions. If you go to a restaurant with 12 people and you don't tip your server then you are not being nice.

If you act like you are nice to someone in front of the face but then you said bad things about the behind your back you are not being nice.

Being nice is about being true and honest. Being nice is about being friendly and committing to postive actions. There are a lot of bad people out there, and a lot of fake people out there.

There are only a few things that really drive me crazy....

Fake people tops the list.

i will totally agree with you and that kind is the worst!

If you go to a restaurant with 12 people and you don't tip your server then you are not being nice.

Now i will disagree in a way but i think that in that particular case and in most of them that are like this you are completely right. In my country tips aren't mandatory. As a result there isn't any rule of 10-20% tips and stuff.

You only give a tip if you feel like it and that's why the waiter had a basic salary as in any other job. So if for example i was a tourist and went out with me fellow tourists friends or group if it was nowhere written, like in the receipt or menu, i can guarantee that none would tip.

Ofc i bet those women were not tourists but bitches :P

Yeah they knew the deal. They weren't tourists.

Psychopaths are often on appearance the nicest people ever. Superficial charm is a big indicator

That's true but at the same time if you work at a restaurant you have to have a lot of superficial charm in order to get tipped.

Sometimes you have to play the game
