The Global Peace Index, produced by the Institute of Economy and Peace (IEP), classifies 163 countries (99.7% of the world's population) according to 23 qualitative and quantitative indicators of peace.
Key Highlights:
- Our planet is today a much less peaceful place than 10 years ago. And the figures that account for the deterioration of the situation are chilling.
- This is the fourth successive year of deterioration, finding that 92 countries have deteriorated, while 71 countries have improved.
- Iceland is once again the most peaceful country in the world, while Syria continues to suffer the highest level of conflict.
- Europe, the most peaceful region, despite setbacks. The most unstable region continues to be the Middle East and North Africa.
Unfortunately my country VENEZUELA, is ranked 143 in this ranking, this by violent demonstrations, violent crimes, perceptions of crime and homicides, as well as access to weapons, political instability, political terrorism and relations with their neighbors.

iceland is so small, what shall they do anyway?
I'm from Austria and really glad to be able to live in such a peaceful country. In fact I live in Vienna, which was voted 8 years in a row most liveable city in the world. Despite all this ranks there a handful of countries and cities I visited and felt were more peaceful, in my opinion, than Austria (best example Slovenia).
I'm not sure about the indicators and would also like to know which indicators are used to determine this ranks.

What is a bounty exactly?

para qué sirve este estudio. Este estudio no ayudar la gente.
Bueno, no sé realmente como se calcula la "paz" creo que es a raíz de la falta de violencia inicialmente. Y eso en nuestro país ocurre mucho, ciertamente que estemos dentro de un ranking de violencia no es mentira, la violencia la experimentamos en todos los ambitos. Y considero y estoy segura de que tenemos iconos que de alguna forma son modelos a seguir, que dan discursos en cadena nacional llenos de violencia, donde la violencia pasa a verse como algo "normal" o como si esto formara parte de... Tenemos comportamientos que vienen llenos de justificación, y esto impulsa a muchos a actuar de diferentes formas. El ser violento siempre ha sido algo relacionado a la supervivencia, en Venezuela en diferentes escenarios estamos justamente en un plano donde parece ser que estamos bajo la teoria La "supervivencia del más apto"... Porque se ha perdido mucho conocimiento y sin eso quedamos bajo los instintos solamente.
