Travelling for Health
Recently,I got the opportunity to be part of the One Health Institute cohort 2018. After intense training on important aspects of One health, we set out into the field to effect changes on our communities.
Just to give a background, One Health is a concept that realises that human, animal and environmental health are inextricably linked. To achieve overall good health, these interactions between the three components should not be ignored. It embraces the use of multidisciplinary teams to achieve health. We employ the systems thinking approach to tackle health problems, not related to only disease but physical, psychological and economic wellbeing of persons.
And of course......we crossed the Nile. The new Nile bridge in Uganda is slowly taking shape. Almost coming to life. I will be sharing my experience as i travel through the land.
