Genius

Are you born so or can you be one?
Here is my simplistic definition of a genius in one single word

"Continuous"

...A Continuous trail of thoughts...
or a continuous thought if you prefer the singular form of the word

But what do I mean?

Being able to maintain a sequence of thoughts without being interrupted, distracted or going off track until you reach a final statement or the final statement, a statement that ends all statements

In other words...

Linking all your stray thoughts to the Trail of thoughts, sort of speak

image.png

So the idea is not to get distracted and be able to actually finish a thought or thoughts, something that is very difficult in our daily buzzing of life
That is why monks escape the noise...

Maximum mental concentration

Many books talk about it even yoga books well actually I think the idea came from that part of the world because it is very well known there, it is actually part of their culture

Meditation

That is what maximum mental concentration is
being able to immerse for hours even days into deep thought
connecting with your inner part

So now we went from "continuous trail of thoughts" to "maximum mental concentration" to "meditation" which leads me to talk about the ultimate "genius", the one and only...

Jesus Christ

Jesus, was the ultimate genius, in my opinion, for the reason that He was able to keep a connection with the Father, the Almighty...at ALL times
At times the devil tried his best to break that bond but Jesus stood His ground as He always maintained His mind and thoughts attached to the Supreme being

...in other words, His relationship with God was "continuous"

That goes for Moses and all the others, from prophets to saints, that had that connection by "heart", some of them by "mind" too or even both at some point in their lives but never were they at all times in "synchronization" with the Almighty
That's because they were human at the end of day, meaning that they have sinned at some point in their lives and that is why they can never be compared to Jesus, free of sins, the Lamb of God

In a way you had to be "chosen" to be someone like that, destined from birth to be the only one to have kept a direct contact line with the "Force", here is another word for God if you will, hey I am on a roll..."continuous" roll, lol

For that reason alone Jesus is an extreme example because it cannot be applied on the average Joe simply because you will have to sacrifice your own life for the entire humanity as an ultimate gesture and as extreme as this sound it is the ultimate expression of Love that makes you the ultimate genius, thus, Jesus C.

But how can the "ultimate" genius die? I mean if he is that genius...

Well, you are right? In fact He had to be killed by someone else and that's exactly what happened plus He actually lives forever so technically He never died thus He is the ultimate genius, :)

Hmm..Ok but what did he die for?

...Love!

image.png

...but what love got to do with being a genius?...

That is because Love means Understanding or comprehending and therefore it acquires the use of the mind...

so in other words

...understanding everything at all time means that you are the "ultimate genius"

I hope I am making sense here...

...so the Ultimate gesture of love is actually the Ultimate understanding of All things

...that's because when you understand everything suddenly you stop questioning every things, all the questions that you had are now vanished, you find your part in the universe as is, you are not anymore in "conflict", you stop complaining all of a sudden, you don't feel stressed, you don't get angry, you don't fight, you don't yell and so on and forth instead you reflect love in all things,

...you are at peace in your heart and mind...

Needless to say that it is hard to maintain that mind and heart bond all the time but actually the real difference between Jesus C. and the rest of us is that He had to sacrifice His life for all of us in the ultimate gesture of Love because He "understood" that something "big" must happen to change the human ways and what bigger thing than His own life?

No human ever did that before nor ever will because even though we are created in His image we will never end our life for all humanity not even for our next door neighbor for that matter, it is beyond our "comprehension" for that it takes a bigger heart but most importantly an even bigger "understanding" ...

So yes, we can sacrifice our lives for saving our loved ones in a heroic act but nothing like the Son of the Man

and so I have to notch it down, a little bit, to a more "human" level but that would be in part (2)

Sort:

Hmm, I agree with your (rather clever) definition of genius, though I would say it is somewhat incomplete, as continuous thought has to have physical manifestation... or maybe it doesn't.

However I think it's still a jump to say Jesus was a genius, metaphysical arguments aside (I see many flaws in the 'he died for our sins' story), I just don't see the connection.

Because to nitpick on your definition of Jesus being in continuous touch with the 'Father', technically speaking, he was/is God, so in fact he was simply in touch with himself.

Perhaps that is all it takes; to be in touch with one's self?

Nice article, looking forward to Part 2.

Cg

yea, the beauty of it is that you can see it by many angles :)
and yes, being in touch with one's self is being in touch with the Father, same thing in my opinion..so Jesus being connected to the Force is like saying Jesus being connected to Himself, :)
plus being able to wash all sins forever is something short of a genius hahaha
part 2 soon up ;)
Thank you!!
