BOOST YOUR SELF ESTEEM

I define self esteem as the power with which you push yourself. Of course it's power from the mind, either negative power or positive power. The kind of power we emit decides how well we live, how good we do and how happy we become, following us for a life time. Self esteem plays a big part in how we see ourselves, worry about things or even how we enjoy things. Simply put, it is how much you value yourself and how important you think you are. The type of self esteem you operate with most times determines how far you can or cannot go in life.

Let's not confuse self esteem with self pride, it's not thinking you are perfect.the most important thing about self esteem is that you're always seeing yourself in the positive way realistically. it is important for you all to have healthy self esteem because it encourages us to try new things, believe in yourself and most importantly, respect yourself. when you respect yourself, when you love yourself, when you treat yourself with dignity, others will do the same to you. Having a positive self esteem helps you make healthy choices about your mind, body, career and family. When you have a healthy self esteem, you're less likely to follow the crowd, especially if your peers or mentor does something you do not approve of. You will be smart enough to make your own choices, because you value your self, thinking, decisions, emotions and the whole you.

Self esteem also affects our relationships with people, family and partners. How you treat yourself is how you'd be treated and i hope we all understand this little secret I've let out. If you judge yourself too much, others will the same to you. If you respect yourself, you'd be respected. If you love yourself just enough, no comparison, no wishing to be like another person, people will love you for who you are!. Self esteem affects your level of confidence and how you deal with circumstances( good and bad). If you have a problem with building your self esteem, I've been able to gather a few tips on how to go about it.

  1. Be confident and believe in yourself always. Most of all, love yourself. Love your body, skin, color, race and abilities. Confidence and self love sometimes outweighs good looks or eve intelligence.

  2. Always have a standard, keep your standard, and don't fall for anything below your standard. If you don't believe in something, you'd fall for anything.

  3. Do what you know how to do best and praise yourself for it. If you think you are wonderful, chances are that others will believe it too and fall in line.

  4. Surround yourself with positive thinkers, negative thinkers cannot nourish positive thinking. Be around people who will help build a positive image of you in their thoughts and vocally.

  5. Always give yourself a treat, especially when you feel a little low on life. It's important you spoil yourself once in a while.

Jesus said, love your neighbor the way you love yourself; not more than you love yourself. Do you love yourself enough? if you do not, you aren't healthy enough to love another.

Well, we all need self esteem. For me it boosts my confidence and helps me stay in control of situations because I have the mindset of a victor.
