The Subconscious Mind

Hey everyone! A few days ago I said I would make a post about the subconscious mind, and here it is. I was meant to write this earlier this week but things got in the way and then I got lazy. Anyway, let's start!

Your mind is more powerful than you can imagine, as I mentioned in my previous post, with it's power you can change your entire life, here I will finally explain how.

The subconscious mind is where we store all of our memories, fears, phobias, habits, beliefs, and all of the things that makes us who we are. Only 2-4% of our day is controlled by our conscious mind, and the other 96-98% is done by the subconscious mind. 96% of all your decisions, actions, thoughts, and feelings are all done automatically by your subconscious mind.

Our subconscious doesn’t always do everything we want it to. All of us have bad habits that we want to change. Habits that the subconscious created without us even realising it. To change these bad habits, thoughts or literally anything else you want to change within yourself or in your life, you need to make your subconscious do it. But how do you change the subconscious?

This is where affirmations come into place. An affirmation is a positive statement that is given to the subconscious to either accept or reject. Suggestions are also used to make changes in the subconscious mind. When a person is in a deeply relaxed state, the conscious mind is out of the way, and the subconscious is more open to accept information. This is where changes happen.

Of course, doing it one time or a few times a month won't make much difference, most changes are more successful with repetition. For your subconscious to accept what you want in your life, repeating the affirmations will make the changes occur quicker.

Our brain is highly receptive to repetition. Repeating the affirmations helps the changes to go deeply into the subconscious mind. Over long periods of repetition, the affirmations will reshape anything you want to change into the things you want. The entire neuronal structure of your brain will begin change in order to promote the new idea you suggested. Once the subconscious accepts this without doubt or question, things in your life begin to change.
