AS WE CLICKED THE SHUTTER: VIRTUS Get Together

It's cool when you meet new people by yourself. It can be in a party, school or whatever. It can boost your confidence by just talking to them with all your might. For introverts, it will be a deadly challenge to meet new people. For extros and ambriverts, it can be cool sometimes.

In our school, VIRTUS (our school paper) was having an acquaintance party yesterday after class hours. It is to celebrate the arrivals of the new members and getting to know each other, of course. Last Tuesday, we had a meeting about the acquaintance party and each of the grade levels (Grades 7-10) were assigned in different tasks for the upcoming party. Unexpectedly, grade 9 will do most of the tasks we're so shookt. We planned for the intermission numbers, foods, designs, contribution amount, games and theme.

As the clock ticked at 15:45, we (grade nine VIRTUS members) rushed to the Elementary Learning Lab to do the designs.

While designing, we had a little chat and jokes to lighten up the mood and to break the silence.

After designing the lab, we went straight to the CR and changed to our black and white clothes.

The party starts! We first prayed and the hosts had their amazing introduction. Then, we played the game Fast Talk, which is you will be asked a few questions for a minute or two.

The first one who took the hot seat is Sir Rhyane Coronel, The Father of VIRTUS.

After Sir Coronel, Vanessa (English Editor-in-Chief) took the hot seat and answered the questions with hesitations.

Surprisingly, Benjamin, our Filipino Sci-Tech Writer was called by the hosts to take the hot seat. He was asked mindblowing questions that half of the room can't believe his answers.

After the Fast Talk, we played the game 369. If you lose the game, you need to introduce yourself to the crowd and some of the people will ask one question about you. It was fun for it's a little bit confusing.

As the game ends, we ate dinner. We chat, laugh and dance. We didn't know that dinner was the last part for it's almost eight in the evening. Despite of it, we still communicate to new people and make memories together.

It was a great night under the Baroque glaze. It was worth it even though we ended eight sharp. Here are some pics of us😁😁😁.

Few of the members didn't join the party. However, being incomplete is not a hindrance to have fun and make memories. We gather all the memories and replay it while walking home.
