It's easier to smile than frown.
In Japan, where emotions are stifled in public, thereโs a greater emphasis on smiling with the eyes.
The smiley face was created to mark a lighter tone in the simple text messages and avoid misunderstandings and fights.
The average woman smiles 62 times a day.

I found this very interesting. it amazing how much one expressions can represent and how such small changes in the smile can mean so much. Like the miserable smile and how people with depression will show this kind of smile, which i found interesting as well cause Some say they hide the pain behind the smile but really the smile is telling all.
Interesting facts, I didn't know about them. Smiles indicating happiness are the accessory anyone can have! :)
