You are right. A well mannered child is a Joy to the parents. The Bible teaches that we should train our children in the ways of the Lord, and when they are old, they will not depart from it.
This is a fact that we need to understand as parents irrespective of whether we are religious or not. We must instill good manners and character in our children at their tender age, so that by the time they grow up, it would have become part of their personality.
I am forevermore grateful to my dad and mom for the way they raised me. They were the no nonsense, hardworking, truthful, fearless and respectful breed that hated evil ways and injustice.
