RE: The 20:20 vision we choose to blindly ignore

in #life5 years ago

Fortunately back in Winston Churchill's day he, and other's, had the foresight to see clearly, the willingness to act and clarity of counsel to know how to act which in the end saved millions of lives and helped bring to an end one of history's most brutal group of people, the Nazi's.

seeing as were are talking about historical facts...lol

The west did very little in WW2, relative to the Russians.
Churchill was responsible for 100,000's of Russian soldiers deaths.(returning POW's to Stalin after the war- when he knew what would happen to them).

Communism had been responsible for over 200 million deaths - of their own citizens - not including war..

Sure it cost millions of lives in the doing, however consider the alternative.

...just pointing out some historical facts- Churchill was strong leader - but say he was good is a massive falsehood.

Framing the Nazi movement in isolation is misleading - they could never have fought if it wasn't due to the allies supporting them.
....US banking, IG farben, ford engines, oil additives for the Luftwaffe, etc, ect,,

WW2 had nothing to do with hitler. It was about re framing Europe for the emergence EU - after the failure of WW1 to achieve it's aims.
WW2 was really WW1, part 2.

I made a simple reference for the point of my post. I mean how could I presume to know much about it...I wasn't there. The topic gave me something shitpost about on Steemit though.

I was just pointing some stuff out, is all matey - in the name of history and accuracy.
( I wasn't there either! I'm only a couple of years older than you! lol)

I've been studying history pretty much for 40 years though.
I was that nerdy kid reading history - by choice- at 10yrs old. lol
(so much of 'official narrative' history - is BS when you dig right into it..)

Lol...Really? I thought you were younger actually...I thought I was the old man of Steemit...Well, I guess now I know now that I'm only one of them! 🤪

I've studied war history for about 35 years and visited many battlefields and significant sites around the world...I find it fascinating. History, and its characters is much more interesting than most people of today. 😉

have you ever read the psychological appraisals of adolf hitler?

(written when the war was on, by US/UK intelligence - I think)

Much of it is is inaccurate... (hard to expect a high degree of accuracy in a mid war scenario, )
A fascinating read though, non the less..

I haven't actually. I mean it's gotta be said that he acheived a great deal...Just...Well, people suffered because of it. Same with the Romans, Vikings, Attila the Hun,. Alexander the Great, Napoleon and so on...Many many examples.
