 We hope for life, its joys our hearts behold
Dark thoughts of doom do we in fear deplore
But from our drunkenness wake,
when told That the spectre of death is at our door
 

 نرجو ألحياة فأن همت هواجسنا بالخير قال رجاء النفس ارجاءا
وما نفيق من السكر المحيط بنا الا ادا قيل هدا الموت قد جاء
