You are right and albeit I am a late adopter it is better late than never!

Governments and those in power are afraid of decentralization and transparency. They want consolidation of information, hold on to the knowledge and hide some things. They would always say it is to ensure that people do not panic and devolve to anarchy and chaos because the truth is hard and painful. But I call BS on that.

Blockchain indeed is an important thing that will change the way we do things.
