You can't live a postive life with a negative mind---this is why?

One-day a chef was cooking up something scrumptious for lunch. His daughter walked into the kitchen with something on her mind. “What wrong?”, the father asked. “School just so hard making friends is impossible and I don’t think I’ll ever make it through 4th grade”, said the daughter. Her dad smiled and took out 3 pots. He filled them with water and place them on the fire. Once the 3 pots began to boil, he placed potatoes into one pot, egg into the second pot and poured coffee beans into third pot. “Dad what are you doing?”, asked the daughter. “Patience sweetheart patience”, said the father. After 20 minutes, he took the potatoes out of the pot and placed them on a plate. He did the same with the eggs and then he poured the coffee into a mug.
“So what do you see?”, the father asked.
“Potato, eggs, and coffee”, she hastily replied.
“Look closer”, he said, “and touch the potatoes.” She did and noted that they were soft. Then he asked her to take an egg and break it. After pulling off the shell, she observed the hard-boiled egg.
Finally, he asked her to sip the coffee. Its rich aroma brought a smile in her face. “Father what does it mean?”, she asked.
He then explained that the potatoes, the eggs and the beans each faced the same adversity, bowling water. However, each one of them reacted differently. The potato went in strong, hard and unrelenting but in the bowling water it became soft and weak. The egg was fragile with the think outer shell protecting its liquid interior until it was placed into the bowling water then it became hard. However, the coffee beans were unique. After they were exposed to the hot boiling water they changed it and created something new.
Which are you? he asked his daughter. When adversity knocks on your door, how do you respond?
Are you a Potato? An egg? Or a coffee bean?
In life things happen around us, things happen to us but what truly matter is what happen within us..
