Laughter is something that is diminishing in day to day life. I don’t know if it is only my observation people are more grumpier, anxious and depressed and are forgetting to smile and laugh.

I know it completely reflects other people’s mood and circumstances. We are getting impatient and annoyed over trivial things. If an elderly is going slow by even 10 miles on a road, we start muttering ourself and look at him in a disgusting manner. If someone does a mistake, rather than rectifying and making sure they learn, we increase their anxiety and stress levels by blaming them. We do not realise our own mistakes. After all we are human. This is causing ant individuals to leave their jobs and become jobless due to stress levels and thus causing a burden on the country.

Last week one of our receptionists was reading a local newspaper and she mentioned some one has abandoned a tractor in the middle of the road and the tractor was lying there for 2 days causing traffic problems. I was thinking who is that idiot who left the tractor on the road but she started laughing. She knew cars left abandoned but never heard tractor being abandoned. The next minute we were laughing out on the floor. Laughter is definitely contagious.

Laughter has many advantages. It can reduce the stress levels, boost the immunity, helps to strengthen the relationships, act as a therapy for depression, good for cardiac health, relax the muscles of the body and helps in rejuvenation. The research on laughter has led to ‘laughter yoga’ where people laugh in groups not necessarily to a joke and this has found to reduce the blood pressure and is good for general health.

So my dear steemians, never lose sense of humour, never let small things upset or control you and laugh to the fullest and don’t suppress this.

Have a great day.

Oh yes @moghul, it is sometimes difficult to laugh, but this is necessary, otherwise stress and negative will overwhelm us!

I agree with you, laughter removes the negative from a person and his tone becomes better!

Absolutley!
Laughing together with a stranger can make friends :-)

Great review @moghul and you're right, laughter is the kind of emotion that a person really needs!

May be i should practice to do this

That's right @moghul! we have to stop worrying about every little thing that happens to us and just watch it from another perspective, just stay positive and who knows? maybe we can make fun of it!

Well said

Although I have written a post about laughing months ago you kind of described me in the first part of the post. I also realize that I forget to laugh very often nowadays and to make jokes. I used to make people laugh for years. Then I got to serious and a bit depressed and everything screwed. I have some Romanian comics though that I watch as often as I can and totally agree with you on laugh's benefits.

Laughter is the best medicine. Please get back to old ways as you were helping many including self

Great article on laughter! I randomly noticed it in my feed and had to check it out cause our community is doing a contest on the subject of laughter right now. You could enter this article if you wanted to, though there are a few rules in order to do so. Not sure if that's something you'd be interest in or not, but I couldn't help but stop and check your article out and mention it since it was such a coincidence or "synchronicity". If you're interested feel free to ask me any questions you have and if not, no worries! All the best to you either way and it's good to see someone else trying to get a similar message out there in regards to laughter and how important it can be. :)

Thank you so much for participating in the Partiko Delegation Plan Round 1! We really appreciate your support! As part of the delegation benefits, we just gave you a 3.00% upvote! Together, let’s change the world!

Thank you
