Jack-o'-Lanterns

I remember the kiddo was spooked when he saw a jack-o'-lantern flickering in the dark. Eerie and mysterious. Of course he was only a wee toddler then. He was both intrigued and scared and told his mama that he "don't want" probably meaning that he wanted her to get rid of it.

We don't do much decoration for Halloween. We would just buy and carve some pumpkins and leave them at door entrances and garage. The kiddo gets to choose cute miniature pumpkins. As he is too young to do any carving, we would just let him colour or embellish with glitter.

I don't do decoration. I have clumsy hands and any form of art and craft is a no-no. One time, my daughter was so busy, there was no time for carving. Nevertheless, she solved the problem with 3D plastic face embellishments. I was gobsmacked while the kiddo was impressed that his mama was so quick thinking.

Most kids look forward to celebrating Halloween and it is imperative to have a huge bowl of yummy treats ready for them.
