Picturesque View

The view from the apartment balcony was mesmerising and breathtaking. Snow was falling and the little stream below us was miraculously not frozen over. We could hear the rushing sounds of water as if the stream was just next to us.

The white slopes were beckoning and the boys were raring to ski. The kiddo was not allowed to join in and stayed behind at the hotel with his mama. He was happy enough to watch his favourite cartoon on TV and being pampered with little snacks and cuddles.

First it was to the store to rent the ski paraphernalia. Then to the purchase the tickets for the ski lift and gondola ride. I opted for the gondola as I have this phobia of falling off the uncovered lift. We were ready to roll.

We had a fabulous time up on the slopes. I could hardly believe that it was hot and yet also felt so cold. It has stopped snowing and the sunlight was glaring. I spent only about an hour up there and took a ride back to terra firma. The boys continued their ski adventure and joined us for a late lunch at one of the ski village restaurants.
