Scared of Santa?

I can't tell whether the kiddo is afraid of Santa Claus or that he already knows Father Christmas is just make believe. He refused to talk about it and dodges the question by simply walking away.

Shopping malls parade their resident Santa on a nice wing chair to meet and greet. Little kiddies queue up and wait for their turn to shake Santa's hand and sit on his lap for a few quick snapshots taken by loving parents.

Every year, the community organisers will notify the neighbourhood that in the spirit of the season, Santa would come a-visiting on a certain date and time. Little ones can meet Santa Claus at the neighbourhood gazebo and everyone is also invited to ride on a lovely horse driven carriage around the block.

Every year, the kiddo would have to be gently coaxed to just go to look and there is no need to say 'hello' to Santa. He makes his mama promise that they would just stay for one minute before he agrees to get into the car. He's one year older now and we hope that this time he would be happy to see Santa. The kiddo has a few phobias and we are trying to help him overcome his little fears.
