An alarming situation in Guatemala.

The scenes in Guatemala are still disturbing with dead bodies getting exhumed daily since last Sunday when a Volcanic eruption occurred on Fuego. A mix of ash, rock and volcanic gases swallowed the villages on the slopes of Fuego when a Volcanic explosion occurred getting many people still in the area even after they were warned on the incident before it occurred. This has left a death toll at more than 90 with dozens of bodies still missing and very minimal chances of getting a survivor at the moment.

Over 3000 people have been displaced, staying in temporary shelters and feeding on food from volunteers. But even in this sad state, there are still fears of another possible eruption occurring which has seen some rescue workers preparing to abandon the region to rescue their lives.

Tensions have raised against the government as the locals blame it for negligence. They knew the risk the area posed but didn't do anything in restricting people from staying in the region. Warnings way before the eruption occurred could have saved many lives since the Volcanology experts had foretold the eruption and advised on earlier evacuations.

Let's put Guatemala in our prayers and send any little help to the people through any possible official channels. And we need to pass warnings to our people staying on Volcanic mountains to evacuate these risky areas.
