What is love?
It's that time of the year again... yes, you got it; roses, chocolates, jewelry, blah, blah, blah. It's also the time of year we reflect on what love is.
That comes to the question, what is love, really?
Is love what we see at Valentine's Day, the roses, chocolates and jewlry? Or is love the romantic feeling we get when we are with that someone special, the butterflies we get and the sensations of being in love? But what happens when these intense feelings are no longer there? Can we still love?
I've been married for almost 6 years now, and I can say it's not always easy. The in love feelings I had when I first dated my wife isn’t always there, but I can confidently say that my wife and I have grown in our love for one another over the years.
Here's what I think love really is
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.. (The Bible, 1 Corinthians 13:4-8)
Well, there you have it. Love isn't just about feelings. It's a commitment.

beautiful verse, it is really one of my favorites where the real meaning of love is explained ... As a couple we learn to live this concept when you really love your partner you are patient, sincere, you are not selfish looking for yours without thinking about your partner. ... in short, to grow more in love, we must apply this verse in our lives and there we will understand its true meaning and our condition ... where we are failing we can improve it by the love we have for our partner and then, We will see how everything changes, always with the help of God in our life and our relationship.

@nextgen622, In my opinion, Love is Understanding and Unconditional. Yes, life is dynamic and we will going to face many obstacles and issues but if love expands no matter how tough the life situations are then for sure that's the True Love. Because relationships which stand strong in good times and not in tough and adversity times then definitely it's not a true relationship. Have a blessed life ahead. Stay blessed.
