Coffee lover? See what you can do with the coffee grounds.

I’m a coffee lover myself, usually I drink a cup of it in the morning and another in the afternoon. But, at home, as a big family we’re, everyday remains a significant quantity of coffee grounds, so, we began to look what can be done with that.

From that research, we learned that there are plenty of things that people can do with it, since personal care until curious uses at home.

Beauty and health :

The most common use is, as an exfoliant, using coffee grounds to exfoliate your skin not only work as a softener for the skin, it hydrates it as well, leaving an extraordinary sensation all over your body. You just have to mix a cup of coffee grounds with the same quantity of sugar and a little bit of your favorite oil. I’ve done it without the sugar or without the oil with great results too.

You can do this exfoliation to your foot and get a feet spa at home, by rubbing them with it, all the dead cells will come off and you will get wonderful results.

Also, you could use it in your hair, just make an infusion with 2 cups of water and the coffee grounds and then put the preparation in a bottle, use a small atomizer and apply the infusion several times a day in all your hair, you will see how it grows quickly. It is important to bear in mind that this treatment may darken your hair a little.

According to my grandma, it’s recommended for people with high blood pressure, pour a little coffee and hot water in the bathtub and spend a few minutes in the bath with said water, she always said that it helped to lower the tension.

Home : kitchen and jarden

To put coffee grounds in the soil of the plants gives them multiples benefits, it helps to keep away from the plants cats and slugs, and help with nourishing the soil for the plant. Carrots will love this treatment and will grow bigger and better.

At the kitchen, using coffee grounds at the refrigerator, helps to control odor problems, just put it there and it will absorb all the odor. In this case is recommended to use fresh coffee ground and avoid to use while it’s still damped. Changing it continuously to avoid any possibility for mold growth.

Besides, it could be used to remove the annoying residues that remain stuck to the pans and pots.

Do it yourself

As a last recommendation, is the elaboration of aromatic candles, it’s very easy, you just have to pour a bit of paraffin or candle wax in a container that you can break, it can be made of cardboard, and before it is completely dried, the coffee grounds is added, then complete the mold with more paraffin. Let it dry completely, and then unmold it. Doing this you get a candle with a pleasant smell and totally handmade.
