The Gift Of Goodbye
A lot of people come into our lives and we get so attached to their presence. It is normal to feel hurt and broken when they eventually leave. It is normal to note that those who have the power to hurt us are those with whom we have let our guards down for; those whom we have come to love; those whom we trust and expected not to hurt us.
We need to understand that things might not work the way we have always wanted especially where humans are concerned. Humans will always act like humans, so stop getting yourself warmed up to expect too much from anyone no matter how deeply into each other you are. Relationship expires and when their purpose has been served, learn to move on. Stop holding on to irrelevant people all in a bid to make yourself have a sense of worth.
Stop begging people to stay in your life. Kiss them goodbye. Let them go. Don't hang on to those whose relevance has expired or those who are willing to walk away from you. If they can walk away, then you can close the door too. If they have the strength to walk away from everything then there is no point crying over them. Forget all that you think you might have lost in the process but remember you have gained too. Choose your focus wisely.
