RE: Obligatory military service part eight (last part)

Generals, yeah, they are a special breed. Where I was stationed we had 2 of them, ..don't ask. There are a lot of little Military outposts in places you wouldn't expect. Earlier this year I spent a day filming on one hidden in the woods within an hour's drive from Teuge. The movie was so violent we couldn't get permits to film anywhere else, but shooting movie footage on a Military installation brings new problems as there are things they did not want us to show in the footage. Either way I enjoyed the company of a few of our former colleagues and enjoyed the Tosti's that were as tasty as I remembered them from the 80's.

Haha great. Indeed there are a lot of places people dont know. The so called Mob complexes, Ive been there once to return vehicles that were out of duty cause of mileage. I never knew the army has so many spare material just standing there and being maintained in case of a war.. millions of euros spend there :)

Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it is the prevailing thought behind that. A 30 year old Truck will still do the same job as a new one, provided it is in good shape.

Your posts on mandatory Military service probably bring up as many memories for me as they do for you. Fun stuff!
